So glad I drove 20 minutes out to what used to be an American classic the A&W root beer float. I wanted to share that experience with my kids only to be told the ice cream machine is broken. Then I read a review that they shut ice cream down an hour before closing. The classic has fallen prey to the corporate mindset. Rest in peace A&W, you were good once upon a time. Sonic has rootbeer floats!
I thought it was a very pleasant and tasteful experience although it did take a moment for the food to be prepared it was fresh and very hot as well as them accommodating my special request

A&W is good and this particular branch is no exception. Service times tend to be relatively slow. But if you want a break from the highway sapp bros is your spot.
